Job title: Revenue Manager 

 

 

Overview

We are looking for a Revenue Manager who will run the revenue recognition process along with close activities. The Revenue Manager will work closely with the Deal Desk, Order Management, and Revenue Operations teams to drive and maintain scalable commercial processes. This position will report to our Controller

What you will do   

  • This will be a critical role that will be responsible for billing and revenue recognition policies. The focus will be on scaling revenue operations to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of revenue compliant with ASC 606 standards.
  • Drive revenue recognition process improvements and develop controls.
  • Evaluate customer contracts, sales orders, and service projects and document the proper revenue accounting under ASC 606.
  • Perform risk assessment for billing and revenue recognition issues; recommend best practices.
  • Review monthly revenue reconciliation and deferred revenue roll-forward, including detailed analysis of professional services.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders (accounting, customer success, revenue operations, legal,etc.) to streamline and automate order-to-cash, develop revenue financial reporting metrics, forecasting, and improve controls.
  • Serve as a key stakeholder in the design and implementation of new product offerings
  • Manage the annual audit and provide supporting schedules, PBCs, and disclosures related to AR and revenue.
  • Participate in key strategic initiatives and assist with other ad-hoc projects

What you need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent major
  • 7+ years in public or private accounting with relevant revenue accounting experience (ASC 606)
  • Experience with Netsuite ARM (required)
  • Professional accounting certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent preferred
  • Big 4 and SaaS industry revenue accounting experience preferred
  • Preferably available for work from 2 PM to 11 PM IST to provide global support.

  • Self-starter that can operate independently with general direction and take appropriate action
  • Experience managing annual financial audits 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
